A’s first birthday | Boston Baby Photography

April 13, 2009

Little A celebrated his first birthday about a week ago, and boy what a great party! Around 80 of his family and friends gathered around. His mom, Victoria, did a splendid job on the decor. On top of the usual food and gifts and speeches, the party even featured a very fun video that they’d filmed. The theme of the party was Rock Star, and there were lots of guitar and star balloons and decorations all over the place. So amazing! I really wish I could show you the tiered cake but A’s name is on it, and as a policy I don’t publish the full names of anyone under age 13, so unfortunately that’ll have to be left out.

Star- and guitar-shaped chocolates

A piano-shaped cake!

Little A seemed to be quite occupied with the balloons

A very fabulous entrance!

A and his family is Russian – they kicked off the dancing with a circle dance

Chanda | Wellesley Senior Photography

April 7, 2009

I’ve been returning to Wellesley to do a couple more senior sessions. I love the campus – it’s a great mix of natural beauty and elegant architecture. The sky was threatening to rain the entire time, but Chanda and I were able to fit in a very productive session within 90 minutes!

Some great tall grass by the parking lot

I wanted to take as much photos while it was still sort of light

Wellesley has all these great lamp posts all over campus

We went to Tower Court, her dorm, and I wanted to get a curtain silhouette shot – inspiration from bridal shots

Pillars by the lake

It got a bit windy!

Chanda is an ec major just like me, we thought this book was pretty appropriate for the times
