Rachel | Wellesley Senior Photography

June 23, 2009

Oh hello, look at this thousand-watt smile! The ever-adorable Rachel and I spent good quality time at Wellesley (yep, again!) for her senior session… It was after commencement, the campus was extremely quiet… to the point where we were a little spooked! However, I love not having people around, we were able to take command over any location we wanted without people getting in the way.

Love her pink shoes! This is what I’m talking about in terms of accessories!

These chairs and umbrellas looked very European

Beautiful back lighting!

Does anyone else think she resembles Keira Knightley? I think it’s in the eyes

Yes yes, shoes again

Sultry

Man, the weather that day was so good

See more photos from the session here. Thank you Rachel for such a fun afternoon! Good luck next year (I’m sure the kids will ADORE you)!

Vicky | Harvard Senior Photography

June 12, 2009

I have to admit, I’ve been Vicky’s secret admirer for a while… on top of being a full-time Harvard student, she’s a part-time model with Boston’s Tonn Model Management… and I’ve always wanted to have a session with her just because she’s too cool for school. Vicky was pivotal in the 2008 production of Harvard’s Identities, an Asian fashion show that I’ve covered. Imagine my glee when she approached me with a senior session request!

Like Edlyn, Vicky also brought her graduation robe… er… just the mortar board. To be honest, Harvard robes (at least for undergrads) are pretty boring… just black. We don’t even get a colored tassle. You figure for a gouging price of $45 (or whatever it is now) you’d get something better than a polyester potato sack… But this photo is really fun. This was right before commencement so they hung all the banners at Widener Library

Deep down inside, we’re all big nerds.

A Harvard Square look

We crossed the busy crosswalk a couple times to get these action shots. Probably got a couple of stares from others. I LOVE them!

Candid. I’ve walked past that green door probably hundreds of times but it finally… spoke to me. Okay I sound crazy

This is near Kirkland. Yep. The site of the shooting.

It started raining so we went inside for some laundry room fun!

So hot!

Vicky, good luck in Hong Kong, please come back and visit sometime! See more of her session here

Suzanne | Harvard Senior Photography

June 10, 2009

Okay, I should be asleep, but Pandora’s currently on a kick of a bunch of awesome songs and I’m wide awake. Next I present to you Suzanne’s senior session at Harvard! I’ve photographed at Harvard many, many times, given that I’m from there and all, but I think this is actually my first on-campus senior session. Full circle!

So we actually began in front of Suzanne’s freshman dorm, which happened to be my freshman dorm too!

We really wanted to incorporate Memorial Church into her session, but there was a wedding going on there, so we opted for the ivy-covered walls of the church building instead

This photo reminds me of a Lacoste ad for some reason. Love the movement!

Ah Science Center B… site of many a lecture I fell asleep in…. (I tried! but I functioned on maybe 4 – 5 hours of sleep a night in college).

Some lovely portraits in Cambridge Commons.. aren’t her eyes so beautiful!

Congratulations Suzanne and have a wonderful summer with all the things that are happening! See more from her session here

Edlyn | Wellesley Senior Photography

June 8, 2009

Edlyn is the reason I got to do all these amazing senior sessions at Wellesley. Her previous session in the winter can be found here. We returned for a spring photoshoot. I laughed really hard when she came out wearing her commencement robe. She explained it was something that her parents wanted. I decided to make the photos look less frumpy than the posed senior photos I had to endure in college.

This location is awesome – a common room in the Tower dorm, it looks rather medieval actually

While taking this photo a family walked by and said Edlyn was a model!

A deliciously wonderful tree by the president’s residence

We walked a bit through mud by the lake to find this awesome garden that belongs to the Hunnywells (sp?) that had pretty cool sculptured trees

Thank you Edlyn for your wonderful friendship and for introducing me to so many amazing Wellesley women! The rest of her photos are here

Ro | Wellesley Senior Photography

June 7, 2009

Another year, and commencement dawns upon the hundreds of colleges and universities in the Boston area. Wellesley and Harvard are no exceptions, for this and the next 3 posts you’ll see a variety of senior portraits at these two campuses. And even more awesome is that a lot of these girls are just like me – economics majors. Congratulations Ro!

I love how her shirt matches this one room we found in the student center

“Yay I’m graduating!”

Loooove the nature around Wellesley…

Soo cute

It was early morning (our session started at 8AM!) light but I wanted to edit this to look like a golden sunset

There’s a reason this photo really stood out to me – funny fact, Ro’s mom doesn’t like it when Ro smiles with her teeth showing, but I think it’s absolutely adorable and so natural!

A tip for the class of 2010, I’m currently scheduling senior sessions for the fall season – availability is better, and you’ll be able to get them in time to make prints prior to graduating! See the rest of the photos from this session here
